So i was translating Episode 1 the other day...
And a scene caught my attention:
Erdoğan's cell phone rings. It is one of Selim's (ex?)girlfriends calling. Erdoğan doesn't seem to be answering the call. Vural tells him to open it already. But Erdoğan wouldn't answer the phone nor give Vural the number.
Which made me recall another scene from Episode 9...
Erdoğan's cell phone rings. It's Vural's mother calling. Unlike the first episode, Erdoğan feels like answering the phone. But this time it is Vural who doesn't want the phone to be answered. He gets very angry too.
Wonder if the contradiction between two scenes from two episodes is just a coincidence or a conditional role/behaviour switch between Erdoğan and Vural, particularly and intentionally planned by the writers of the show. And wonder if i am the only one who has noticed and pondered about this little detail?
Translating the show, one gets to notice a lot of things that they didn't while watching it for the first time. So, i plan to share those little details with you guys as i come across them. Do you think it is a good idea?
Hmm, and have you noticed any other little, interesting details about the show? Feel free to share it with us in the comments section!

I like your idea ....my first note is that I like the way everyone shows their true character now that there are under pressure....
Thank You so much for your kind effort. All this time I couldn't figure out who does what or who is related to who. Like Munir is Selims maternal uncle. Is Vural Munirs son?
There is a translation of Episode 2 on Youtube.
I can't wait 'til I can understand each episode:)
Great job, balaansre, thanks a lot...
As far as Vural and Erdogan are concerned, I agree with you...I also noticedd that the writers are giving so much importance to those two, while Selim is presented as silly guy, he only worries about not being caught, he is too spoiled to take care of anything...
thank you for translation and sharing your ideas
it realy helps me to understand the show
i noticed that meltem from first episode doesn't trust selim and searched in his mobile to see his recent calls so i wonder if she'll realy give up searching for the truth and marry selim after her conversation with kerim
i also noticed that kerim and vural regret what they did but selim and erdogan don't care as if they have no conscience
i heared something but i don't know if it will be true it's about kerim's father
i heared that resat may be kerim's father so kerim and selim may turn out to be brothers :)
thanks alot for your ideas
I think the writers are presenting Erdoğan and
Vural as main characters beside Fatmagül &
Kerim .
hello i'am from paris, frist of all thank you so much balaan for yours translations.I don't speak turkey and because of you now i can understand the show, thank you again.I discovery " Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne " on the net.The scene withe erdogan and vural is very interresing and i thing you right. I like very muche the character of vural because is very real The human person make mystake and regret.I curiause to see how he will become. Please Balaan can you transalate the others episode ? I'can't wait any more. SoSo from paris.
Thank you soo soo much for translating the episodes
this is a really good show, and i think they are dealing with the topic in a very realistic way.
i'm a psychology student so i have studied topic like rape, depression and post traumatic stress disorder kind of thing, and this is the first show that I've seen that do this topic justice.
thank you and i appreciate your efforts
I can imagine the depressing, destructive effects of the incident in a rape victims life, no matter the gender or the culture they live in.
But it is rather difficult to understand the mindset of the people that turn their backs on the rape victim.
I Balaan, me too I'm french from Paris, thank You so much for the translation, Your jon is amazing, I'm speechless lol.
About the characters, the "gang" of 3 guys who commit the rape, the only one for who I fell little bit of compasion is Vural, who really regret what He did to Fatmagul. Erdogan is really mysterious and cold, In my opinion we don't know everything abour him, It seems like He Hides something, I don't know...
And Selim, is such a coward and selfish person, He only think and love Himself, He remembers me so much the character of Behlul in Aski memnu (You know the immature rich kid who think that he owns everyting).
Merci, Thank You so much, from Paris
thx =)
hi i am from the USA ,,, thanks so much for the great effort translating ,, plz keep it up
and about ur thoughts , it is great to share them with us :))))
it is an excellent idea. Thanks for the hard work!
Just a response to Admin's comment on the effects of rape on a woman. I've been hoping that this series would make people aware of the effects of this crime and there would be more effort to help the victim rather than condemn her. But others say that this series will just attract viewers who enjoy the violence. I'm curious about what Turkish people think of this subject.
Hi Thank you for your great effort. You do what we really need soo much. Please when will you start translate episode 11?
@Anonymous: Episode 11 isn't even out yet :)
Episode 10 Part 1 (Eng. subs. beta) will be up soon!
good Idea.
I´m notice that Resat is Kerims Father.
Rahmi go to married Meryem Ebe Nine.
i would love to see all episodes between 3 and 8 translated please! i cant find it anywhere your a star! love this site!
I noticed something else: in episode 5 Kerim is talking to Ebe Nine on the phone, opset and mentioning Mustafa and how he came to trash her house -Mukaddes, Rahmi and fatmagul all listening and that was the reason Fatmagul agreed to go with him to Istanbul,to 'save pore' Mustafa, correct me if I am wrong.
In episode 9 Mukaddes talk to a girl from village via phone, Fatmagul is also in the room, Ebe Nine came with bowl of veggies to sit with them and Mukades ask why she don't tell them that she was attacked by Mustafa, both Fatmagul and Mukaddes act surprised...I think this is goof or trivia how they called in english...
Hmm, I think in Episode 9, Mukaddes was told on the phone that "the town folks" almost attacked Ebe Nine and forced her to leave. Not Mustafa.
That was the main reason why Ebe Nine went to Istanbul.
translation ep.9 part 2 was: Mustafa has assaulted your house, breaking your windows and all..., and Fatmagul/Mukaddes both are acting surprised. That was my point...neyse...:)
I checked the video again at home.
Episode 9: Mukaddes first uses the word "They" addressing the town folks, then she continues with "Mustafa" breaking Ebe Nine's windows. She indeed acts she is suprised to hear that.
Episode 5(spoiler): Mustafa assaults Ebe Nine's house when Kerim is on the phone with her. When Mustafa leaves, Kerim calls Ebe Nine again and she tells Kerim what has just happened.
Kerim is furious, tells Münir what Mustafa did. But at that moment, i am not sure if they are close enough to the table. Not sure if Mukaddes and Fatamgül heard Münir and Kerim's conversation.
Did Fatmagül tell Kerim to "stay! you have to take me to Istanbul" because of what she heard or because that she saw Kerim that furious and she was worried about Mustafa? i don't know.
Thank you so much for input!Love your work and adore this TV Show! Thanks again...
I love your blog its so awesome i realy need the translation.
