when r you posting part 2 sweety
Melek & Erkan thank you
Thank you Erkan, i am not sure how you guys divide the work, but i always assumed it is you who translated part 1, if i am wrong i apologize, and thank you melek in advance! you two are beyond description with your generosity!
Thank you enormously,I wish you success and happiness in your life and happy NEW YEAR.
thanks for posting this with english subtitles, since today i read a comment on one of the you tube's posts, sth.like - 'those who do not understand turkish should not watch this series. stop translating it' !!!???it made me so angry ..... so, thank you guys once again for doing this!:-* from serbia
thank you :-)....thank you :-D....THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSS Melek .... Erkan you are our Santa claus
kerim is nice thanks so much and have a nice holiday
Melek & Erkan thank you thank you thank you I read that vural and kerim are good friends in real lifeI love them both
You're all very welcome and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!@Ambia: Yes, our division of work on translation department is just as you assumed. I do the part 1 and Melek does part 2, then if we can catch each other online we test each others' translations and fix where it is necessary. But sometimes (like today) due to time difference and lack of time at hand, we are not able to test our translations thoroughly. I hope I didn't make so many typos and mistakes in part 1.
Thank you guys! I loved the last scene of this video... whe she was giving love advice to Emre infront of Kerim it was like if she was talking too Kerim. And she also realized that what Kerim is doing for her is not easy at all.
I liked Kerim's description of his feelings to Meryem, it is wonderful when a man is confident and expressive of his feelings. It makes us know how truly deep Kerim's feelings are for Fatmagul. Thank you again, merry xmas and happy new year to all the fans of FSN.
Happy holidays to you too... and someone correct me if i am wrong, but i only noticed one typo in the part you posted( i dont remember the exact minute but it was the scene btw mustafa and his father discussing the mother's health state) ...Excellent is the least to say about your work.
i loved it too. and i thought it had dual message...she advised Emre to do what she expected Mustafa to do for her and did not (which made kerim get up and leave)...and Emre's words hit her hard with the realization that mustafa did not know /love her enough to fight for her , while kerim is the one doing by her advice.
melek and erkan thank you so much your translation is perfect and your efforts are higly appreciatedi enjoy watching this more than once as you translate every wordenjoy your holiday :)
yes and he was very understanding why she can not have mutual feelings toward him. He knows how hard he will work to prove himself and he does not expect it to be easy...it gives me the feeling that he is on the top of things...
Erkan & Melek thank you so very much! you guys rock!Merry Christmas and iee sene lar in advance ;)

First I want to thank Erkan and Melek very much for the translation. You guys are so sweet. although we live in different parts of the world we feel so connected because of this series. It has opened alot of doors for discussion among us. Kerim's love confesion for fatmagulu was SO romantic. What can i say!!!!! LOVED IT.
Dear Erkan & Melek: Thank you so much, Happy Healthy New Year. XXXOOO

First of all i want to wish everybody Happy holidays!!The first part was great ,can't wait for part 2,i think that fatmagul is starting to understand thata what kerim is doing for her is not easy and not everyone wouls sacrifice their life for someone they don't know.I love kerim fascial expressions! Thanks again erkan and melek:)))
Erkan & Melethank you so much for your effort really appreciate that thank you and keep going on this
thanks my friends for your great effort i love you all
I liked that scene as well, but I think she was talking about Mustafa & that what annoyed Kerim & let him go.But then she realized that it's the reality she lives in.
Yes ,while Fatmagul is giving advise to Emer she asked him to do what Mustfa should have to do ,but what suprising me that Emer told her how is not easy what Kerim did for her till now;sacrifing should be to whom one loves.Thank you Erkan & Mekek ,Merry X-mas and a happy holiday for all.
Hi from Greece and a big thank you
Thank you for the nice wishes. I hope you all had a nice weekend as well.I want to let you know that, Episode 14 Part 2 will be ready tomorrow (Monday) evening, not today. Also we are planning to implement a forum to our blog. I like this "disqus" add-on a lot, which helps us write comments in a slightly better fashion than the bloggers default 'comment' module). But I think a proper forum could be a useful addition to discuss specific matters in seperate topics. Like talking about the actors and actresses in their own topic. And discussing about each episodes in their own threads.Let us know what you think about the forum idea. And feel free to share your other suggestions to improve our blog, here in the comments section or by mailing us.
Erkan and Melek, love You so much, You are the best translator in the world!! I wish You a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I love the idea of a forum! :) Thanks again for all your hard work!!
I like it.... can't wait for the forum to start :-)
Hi Erkan.. What do you meen by Monday evening? Do you meen Turkey time..? just wondering because I'm in the states..and that will meen Monday morning to me....As for discussing the episodes..thats a wonderfull idea.I like the blog the way it is right now..its very organized..and the people here seem very nice and polite..adding comment to each other kinda makes it easy for us waiting for the new episodes...
Thank you so much Erken&Melek. Merry Christmas and happy holidays for all. When Fatmagul asked meyrem about that day... Now even if she believes he did nothing, she thinks Kerim took the blame for money. That can't be good at all!!! His confession is wonderful, and the scene I enjoyed the most was the scolding scene. Fatmagul was looking intently to see if she hurt him enough with her childish lie about the letter, and she did. Engin was super in that moment. I like the forum idea a lot!!
wish to all of u happy holidays from belgium!!
Hi Erkan, Thanks again for your wonderful effort with the translation. I've started to eat, breathe and sleep Fatmagul loool. I watch it when it first comes out in Turkish and kinda understand the dialogues. But the finer details of your translation is what makes the show! Tshkr again. As for the forum, I think its an EXCELLENT idea! Go for it!!!!!
Hi Erkan, Thanks for your wonderful translation ,I like your blog very much but I think the Forum is a wonderful idea because it will increase the number of members and we will learn more about the actors and the series .
Hi Erkani like your blog so much and i'm sure the forum will be great a great ideathank you
Kolay gelsin erkan & melek !hersey için tesekkurlerMerry christmas to everyone
Hello Ekran and Melek. Thank you so much for your wonderful offer. I would like to ask whether it is possible to translate the series Bir Bulut Olsam;;; I saw an episode that was translated in KanalD and I think it is a fantastic series. ENGIN is a great actor! Kisses from Greece
thanks and greetings from Romania!!
Thankyou so much for your effort!! When is Part 2 going too be posted?
Thank you soooooooo much for translating this!!!!!!
poor Kerim. Fatmagul will give you hard time, be patient sooner or later she will fall for you. you are IRRESISTABLE.
Erkan and Melek ...THANK YOU is too small a word for your generosity. I love your blog, it is very organised and the idea of a forum will also be great. I love your notes. I learnt so much. I would like to make a request and a suggestion as well for your notes. I, like many others here, am a fan of Istanbul and Turkey, so do you think it is possible to tell us a little about what we see not just the words we hear. Like tell us at 22:09 of this part what is this stream or river that we see, this same scene was in Episode 13 Part 2 at 5:25. Also in Episode 13 Part 1 at 37:11 and 13 Part 2 at 23:12 we see this little bridge and a monument at the back, we've seen them in previous episodes (and in other series as well) what is the name of this little bridge and what is the monument at the back and what is the name of this river/stream.Again in Episode 10 when Kerim and Fatmagul were in the boat what was the Palace at the back? Was that Beylerbeyi (it is too small to be Dolmapachi!!)?Am sorry if am asking too much. It's just a suggestion. Sorry for writing so much. Thank you again.
Hello. By evening I meant Turkish time, sorry about the confusement. But today I got home a bit late and could finish it only now, at night in Turkish time which I assume evening for you :) Lucky you! And I am searching for easy way to implement a forum into blog. As I don't know much about web site designs, coding or any of those things. This is my first blog actually, I'm learning and open to suggestions. Forum should be up untill the next episode. And who knows, perhaps we'll be able to discuss it in the comfort of our new forum, hehe.
Thank you Erkan... For the same reasons you mentioned, i could not come up with any ideas/suggestions about the forum, i was actually researching too, so maybe others who are more experienced with web designs could help you put together good ideas for the forum. One more thing, for the disqus, could you add an "edit" feature, so if we type something and we want to edit or add to it we will be able to do so.Thanks for everything
I think that's a good idea. Although I don't know much about Istanbul either and I've only been at the Anatolian part of Istanbul in my childhood for a bit of time, I'll try to add little notes about the sights, buildings and other things that's seen in the frames.I'll look into those scenes in the episodes you mentioned and let you know what they are. But yes that building looks like Dolmabahçe Sarayı.
I want to watch Bir Bulut Olsam as well, but I don't think that TV show has a youtube channel. But translating it sounds impossible. I'd have to clone myself. All I can hope is that there maybe other willing and dedicated people out there to do the translation of this nice series so you guys can watch it as well.If you ask me, big productions and production companies like that should provide the official english subtitles of the show on default. Perhaps they are just not aware of the the attention to their work from outside the country.
I can edit my own comments on disqus. But I don't know if this has to do with me being a moderator here, or having a profile.Do you have a disqus profile? And do you write your comments when you're logged in?
No i never i signed up..i will do it now and see if that's the case. Thanks!
hi, thanks for translating this series. I wonder if someone could explain what "ne olsun" means. I'm thinking it means "what's up?" but I don't really know. I think "olsun" is used in a lot of phrases so I can't really figure out the meaning. I can't even figure out what part of speech it is (noun, adjective, adverb, verb, etc). it was said between Enise and fatmagul towards the end of this part (14-1).
"Ne olsun" doesn't mean "what's up" but is a response to it.If a person says "ne haber", he or she wants to say "what's the news" or "what's up".You can answer them, saying "ne olsun", which is actually another interrogative sentence but means "nothing is really going on", "not much" or "nothing bad".I'm not an expert in this. But to me; both "ne haber?" and "ne olsun" are grammatically improper sentences and phrases in Turkish that have already sticked to our tongues, accepted by all of us and used often everyday."Ne haber" is kind of like the question "what news" in English without using "is" after "what"."Ne" means "what". "Haber" means "news". Even so, you can even say "naber" instead of "ne haber" to ask someone "what is up".In "ne olsun", the tricky and confusing part is probably "olsun". "Ol" here is the root of this word, which is a verb that means "to be". "-sun" is the suffix gives the verb an optative and/or imperative mood. For example of imperative meaning: when the painter asks you "Which color you want your walls to be?", you can says "Kırmızı olsun" and this means "I want it to be Kırmızı(Red)". Here "olsun" means "(I) want (it) to be".Or for example of its optative meaning: We say "Geçmiş Olsun" (to wish well when someone is sick) "Afiyet Olsun" (to wish good appetite when someone is eating) which I explained in the previous notes. However, obviously "olsun" has a different (exceptional) meaning in "ne olsun" phrase. And makes it mean nothing imperative nor optative but just a common answer to "What's up?" in Turkish. Sentence structure is already so different in Turkish than most of other languages. And phrases like "Ne olsun" and "Ne haber" improperly structured even in Turkish, makes them even more confusing to the learner I can imagine :)
thhanks toOoOOOOooooOOOOns!!1it finally worked for me, i downloaded the video through internet explorer, other ways usually pause somewhere, I think you should include downloading the video from internet explorer as a third alternative, it is the only that has worked smoothly for me( im doing this through a PC) ...thanks tons again,,....the episodes are a treasure to keep...great tool to learn Turkish....sara
